About HVS
Heartland Video Systems (HVS) is a family-owned technology company built on engineering expertise, trusted relationships, and a genuine commitment to serving people well.
Since taking the Heartland Video Systems name in 1997, HVS has helped customers across the United States design, build, and support critical video and communications systems. Our roots are in broadcast, where we established an early reputation for technical leadership during the transition to digital television—from supplying some of the industry’s early ATSC 1.0 encoding technology and developing specialized DTV solutions to becoming a trusted resource for ATSC 3.0 systems and deployments. Today, we continue to build on that experience while expanding our capabilities and relationships throughout the professional AVL market as well.
At our core, HVS has always been an engineering-focused company. We partner with leading technology manufacturers to provide equipment, system design, integration, professional installation, and ongoing technical support. More importantly, we strive to become an extension of our customers’ teams—helping them find the right solution for their needs, not simply the solution that benefits our bottom line. That commitment is reflected in our core values: being Customer-Focused, Dedicated and Caring, and Honest and Ethical.
In 2025, HVS entered a new chapter continuing as a 100% family-owned company. We are independently owned and not backed by private equity, allowing us to remain agile, make decisions with a long-term perspective, and put relationships ahead of short-term returns. We operate according to Christian principles, seeking to conduct business with integrity, humility, compassion, honesty, and respect for our employees, customers, vendors, and communities.
We are proud of our history, but we are equally excited about where we are going. Growth is an important part of HVS’s future—growth in the technologies we represent, the markets we serve, the solutions we provide, and the opportunities we create for our people. Our 2025 acquisition of Videstra, which simplifies the integration of Micro-Local IP cameras into news and weather broadcasts, is one example of how we are investing in innovative solutions that complement our traditional integration business.
HVS is a proud member of the Society of Broadcast Engineers (SBE) and a voting member of ATSC, continuing our commitment to the industries and technologies we serve.
